It's easy and delicious to whip up a steaming mug of hot cocoa for one using our Cocoa Powder. We add a pinch of Cayenne Pepper for a little kick, but it's optional, of course.
Makes 1 serving
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons Natural Cocoa Powder
1-2 tablespoons sugar
Pinch of salt
Pinch of Cayenne Pepper (optional)
1/2 teaspoon ground Guajillo Chile
1/2 teaspoon Ceylon Cinnamon
1 cup milk (or a combo of milk and half-and-half)
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
Whisk cocoa powder, sugar, salt, cayenne, guajillo, cinnamon and 2 tablespoons of the milk together in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir until the ingredients are dissolved and blended. Add in the rest of the milk and increase the heat to medium, whisking occasionally until hot. Turn off the heat and stir in the vanilla.

Cornbread is perfectly at home thickly sliced with eggs for brunch or dunked in a big bowl of chilli, and simply toasted with plenty of salty butter is always a good idea.
