A go-to weeknight taco recipe! A splash of beer adds depth to the turkey, while our new taco seasoning – featuring chiles and tomato powder – brings subtle heat and savory richness. Also great with chicken, beef, or tofu.
1 lb ground lean turkey
⅔ cup light beer or chicken broth
pico de gallo or salsa
diced avocado
fresh cilantro
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the turkey, breaking it into smaller pieces as it cooks.
When the meat is no longer pink, add the tomato, onion, and garlic. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes, until the tomato begins to break down and the onion softens.
While the turkey is cooking, char the corn tortillas. Use tongs to hold the tortilla over a gas-grill flame (or over a BBQ), letting it char for 45-60 seconds per side. (You can also warm the tortillas in a skillet or in the oven.)
