You also don’t mention that the class was using a very special turmeric that has been tested to be a certain level of curcumin which is the active anti-inflammatory that we want. I assume this blend is using that special turmeric and know that Oaktown Spice Shop sells high quality spices. Also the fact that other ingredients are included so that the curcumin can be assimilated by the body. That’s a very important reason to buy a blend, not just ingest turmeric.
So can we get the ingredients from Costco? Yes.
Do I want to? NO!from Healthline.com/nutrition: "Turmeric is the spice that gives curry its yellow color.
It has been used in India for thousands of years as a spice and medicinal herb.
Recently, science has started to back up what the Indians have known for a long time… it really does contain compounds with medicinal propertiesThese compounds are called curcuminoids, the most important of which is curcumin.
Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric. It has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant.
However, the curcumin content of turmeric is not that high… it’s around 3%, by weight."I realize that OSS does not want to make “health claims,” but you could share the type of turmeric and the tested percentage for those who are in any doubt about buying your quality Golden Milk Spice.

I’ve been making this paste since I took the class at Oaktown Spice shop.
The instructions are FLAWED. Doing it this way makes it gritty.Heat the oil gently. Then add the spices and let them bloom. Then add hot water. We were taught to whisk for 10 minutes which I’ve been doing, but the quantities are much larger. I let sit for 5 minutes as we were instructed and mix with Manuka or my local honey. By mixing rather vigorously, it makes an emulsion and helps preserve the paste. I store in a sealed glass jar in the fridge.
My morning drink is 1/3 coconut almond milk, 2/3 water and 1-2 tsp of the paste. It’s enough milk to be creamy without all the calories. I believe that the first thing we put into our system in the morning should be healthy and I love this drink.
Last comment: I am the regular Oaktown Spice Shop customer who encouraged (begged?) you to make and sell a Golden Milk Spice blend after taking your class. THANK YOU!!!!!
