Low and Slow BBQ Ribs

Low and Slow BBQ Ribs

We love pre-cooking our ribs in the oven to make them extra delicious, without having to fuss around the grill for too many hours. The resulting ribs are tender, juicy and spiced just right.

Serves 4

Ingredients

2 slabs babyback or spare ribs
1/2 cup St. Basil's BBQ Chop & Rib Rub or Oaktown Sweet Heat BBQ Rub
2 cups apple cider vinegar
4 tbsp butter
1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven to 200 F. Cut each slab into two pieces. Rub with spices. Heat vinegar and butter in a non-reactive sauce pan. Place ribs in baking tray and cover with foil. Bake in oven for 3-4 hours, brushing on vinegar-butter mixture every half hour.

Finish ribs on the grill. Use indirect heat with wood chips for smoke for another hour or two, basting every 15 minutes. Brush on BBQ sauce in the last 15 minutes on grill.

Really LOVE your spices! Everything I have purchased has been a winner! I also have tried several of your recipes and they are awesome. It would be great to have more of them in the future.
