Indian coriander has a brighter, more citrusy flavor than the European variety. The seed shape is also oval rather than round. This spice has notes of lemon, orange and nuttiness. Use it in combination with other spices, such as cumin, garlic and chiles, to round out flavors on veggies, meats and curries. Coriander can also be used in sweets, such as cookies, shortbread or pastry.
