MSG (Monosodium Glutamate)
MSG is sodium and glutamate. A sprinkle of it is an excellent way to add a deep umami flavor to your food. Use 1/2 teaspoon to enhance the flavor of 1 lb of meat or 4-6 servings of vegetables, casseroles or soups. Typically use less MSG than salt.
