Whole nutmegs go a long way, with an incredibly long shelf life. Use a microplane or grater to add freshly grated nutmeg to your baked goods. Or, try it in some in rum punch or a cantaloupe agua fresca. It's also delicious in potato dishes or in braised or sauteed greens such as spinach or kale.
