Ground Kashmiri Chile
A staple of the Indian kitchen, this powder brings a vibrant red color, flavor and a bit of heat to your dishes. It's not quite as spicy than cayenne, so feel free to substitute a little bit more of Kashmiri chile in recipes that call for cayenne.
"Kashmiri has made me more inclined to spicy flavors. This has become my go-to when I want to add an unexpected spicy pop to food and drinks, specifically my morning "bulletproof" mochas. I've also used it to create a sweet and spicy raspberry jam filling in chocolates." - Crisselle's Staff Picks, 2020
