We officially opened our doors five years (and about a month) ago. Yes, we’re a little late in mentioning it, but here it is: Thank you all for your support of Oaktown Spice Shop!

When we first opened, John did all the grinding, sifting and blending of spices, running to the front of the shop to help customers whenever the door bell rang. I came to the shop on nights and weekends to help out.

Five years later, we have a staff of nine wonderful people, we’ve moved into a larger storefront and the support we’ve received from Oakland has far surpassed our greatest hopes.

We’re honored that our regulars continue to find the shop an inspiring and fun place to visit. We love that we’ve seen your kids grow up, provided the favors for your weddings, and helped season your holiday feasts year after year.

We’re also heartened that we continue to see new faces every day – people who didn’t know we were here or who have wanted to stop in for a while now. Through it all, we’ve always strived to provide each and every one of our customers with warm service, delicious spices and good food conversation.

We hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as we have! Here’s to many more years of making good food together. Thank you!
