We are excited to announce that we will be opening our third Oaktown Spice Shop location in the soon-to-be-built Castro Valley Marketplace!

Scheduled for opening in Fall 2019, Castro Valley Marketplace will be an artisanal food hall and community gathering space in downtown Castro Valley. Anchored by the Castro Valley Natural Grocery, the marketplace will also be home to a bread bakery, butchery, sidewalk cafe, craft cocktails, wine shop, commercial kitchen and cooking school, event and collaboration space, and more.

We’re thrilled to be working alongside a few food businesses who have been customers of ours over the years, such as Baron’s Meats, Blind Tiger and Blue Heron Catering.

We plan to provide the same variety of spices, herbs, teas and gift boxes in the new Castro Valley location, with the same aesthetic as our existing shops in Oakland and Albany.

The marketplace will be located at 3295 Castro Valley Boulevard, the long-vacant former location of Daughtrey’s department store. The complex is currently under construction, and we are in the design phase of planning our shop.

The Castro Valley spice shop will be our third location in the Bay Area. We opened our Oakland shop in 2011 and our Albany shop in 2017. We are grateful to our dedicated staff members, who have helped improve our business and enabled us to grow. And we’re thankful for all our wonderful customers for your support over the years.
