Whether you are a beginner in creating healthy raw cuisine or looking for new ideas to satisfy your taste buds, this workshop is sure to satisfy your needs! Learn some of the fundamentals of raw food preparation including soaking and milking nuts, and making delicious, flavorful sauces for both sweet and savory dishes. We will explore the uses of various herbs and spices to bring flavor to meals without heat. This class will give you the tools to incorporate nutrient dense and super tasty foods to both raw and cooked meals, and will add some new tricks to your repertoire!
Participants will sample all of the raw creations and walk away with delicious, quick, easy to follow recipes, as well as spices from Oaktown Spice Shop!

About the Instructor:
Oakland native Tamu Mosley is a mama of 3, a yogi of 20+ years, a teacher and a kitchen alchemist. She was introduced to a vegan lifestyle in 1995 and quickly became passionate about a wholistic approach to this new way of eating and living. It’s not only about what she puts in her body, but also about what she puts on her body, her environment, and what she allows in her mind. She realized that this was a lifestyle, not just a diet, and wanted to live it as wholistically as possible. Over the years Tamu’s personal wholistic wellness practice has grown and changed as she has learned more of what nourishes her body, mind and spirit. This has evolved into a mostly raw, plant based diet that includes daily delicious green smoothies, homemade nut mylks & other raw creations in her kitchen healing laboratory, along with a consistent yoga practice.
